Recipe for Turkey Chops

Ingredients:

Meat:

1 lb ground Turkey

3 Eggs

Vegetables:

* To be Cooked:

• 1 cup of frozen or fresh Peas

• 1 cup of Carrots (after cooked)

• 4 cups of mashed Potato

* Raw:

• 1.5 cups of finely chopped Onion

• 2 tsp finely chopped Ginger

• 1/2 cup finely chopped Cilantro

• 2 tsp finely chopped Green Chili (optional)

 

Spices & Other Ingredients:

1 tsp Chili powder

4 tbsp Olive Oil

1/2 tsp Cumin powder

1 tsp roasted Cumin

1/2 tsp roasted black Pepper corn

1/2 tsp roasted red Pepper

1/2 cup roasted Peanuts (chopped)

1/2 tsp Salt (as per taste)

1/2 tsp Sugar (as per your taste)

1 cup crushed Tomato Sauce

4 tsp Lemon Juice

2 tsp chopped Garlic

1/2 tsp Chili powder (optional)

1/2 cup Turmeric powder (optional)

2 tsp of milk

1 cup of Filtered or tap Water

1 tsp crushed cinnamon

1 tsp crushed cardamom

1/2 tsp crushed cloves

 

Cooking Instructions:

Preparation:

• Mix Turkey, Olive Oil, pinch of Salt & Sugar (to taste), Lemon Juice, some Garlic, Ginger, & Green Chili and let it set for an hour.

* Prepare Vegetables:

• Boil or steam all the vegetables with Water and let them cool,

• Mash vegetables and add salt, sugar to taste.

* Prepare the Mix:

• Heat oil in a big pan/skillet and fry the onions till golden brown,

• Add rest of the Ginger, chopped Green Chili, Cumin powder, Chili powder, Turmeric, Tomato sauce, Salt, Sugar and sauté until sauce is cooked & thickened.

• Add mashed vegetables, Turkey and fry until well cooked and becomes soft so that it is easy to make balls.

• Now turn off the flame and add roasted Peanuts, Cilantro, Pepper corn, crushed cinnamon, cardamom, cloves to the mix.

• Make flat balls out of this mixture (size of golf balls but flat).

* Prepare the Batter:

• Now mix the Eggs, Salt, milk, roasted red Pepper and Cumin to make the batter.

 

Fry or Saute:

* Deep Fry:

o Heat the oil in a pan

o Dip each of the above-made balls in the batter and deep fry each ball till golden brown.

o Repeat the process for all the balls

* Saute:

o Put little Oil in a large skillet and heat the Oil.

o Dip each of the above-made balls in the batter and fry each ball till golden brown.

o Repeat the process for all the balls

 

Serve:

• With Sliced Onions & Reddish and Sauce or

• With Regular Salad  and Sauce or

• With “Cucumber and Yogurt” Salad.

 

General Instructions:

• Make it your own recipe and use your own choice of ingredients

• Replace with your favorite ingredients that are comparable.

• Use Oil as needed basis

• Use Sugar & Salt as per your taste

• Have fun with it

• If you can, try to use Filtered Water for you all cooking needs. It improves the taste of all foods.
